Anthony yapping away

Anthony is 4 months old now and quite the little talker. He weighs over 16 lbs and the developmental specialist says he is doing things a 7 months old baby would do. A little genius?? Well we think so anyway. Happy Watching....

Happy Birthday Mom!

This is my beautiful mom. I'm guessing she was in her late twenties or early thirties. Can you imagine going out to some rustic place like this, Yosemite I think, and wearing a dress, silk stockings and a matching purse? Wow! Today is my mom's birthday. She'd be 86 today if she was alive. She passed away in 2001, a week after she turned 78. It was a VERY sad day for me. So for a tribute today, I'm going to tell all of you a little about her. She was born September 22, 1923 in North Dakota and named Donna Geraldine Schonberger. I can tell you, she always hated the name Geraldine and most of the time would only use the abbreviation G. She was the oldest girl, 3rd child of 6. Her father, George Schonberger was a farmer and her mother, Alice Viola Baker Schonberger, had been a schoolteacher. There were 6 children in her family. In order: Kent George Schonberger, Claude Schonberger, Donna Geraldine Schonberger Geske, Darlene Schonberger Moody, Fern Schonberger Crane an

Vampires, Blood Suckers, Creepy Crawlies, Parasites..... No, these aren't your family or friends but they may be unwelcome visitors to your home. What you see next MAY leave you feeling like things are crawling on you. AAAaaarrrrgggh! There you have it.... the dirty rotten, stinkin', FLEA!! And it's making our lives MISERABLE right now. It all began a few weeks back when we noticed our upstairs cat acting strangely. He meowed and raced through our bedroom from carpeted areas to linoleum floors. He sat up high on furniture. It only took us a couple of days to realize it was a flea problem and treat him with Frontline. Ah, problem solved you say? I wish! Our dogs are on a Frontline program but Randal the cat wasn't, so we thought the Frontline would be a quick fix. Not so. That day we began the regimen of vacuuming every night and morning and spraying with a well known brand of flea spray. And the cat now has a flea collar on top of the Frontline. We've been doing t

Kristen's Bridal Shower

This past Saturday, we Weems women and Kristen's mom, Nancy, gave Kristen a Bridal Shower. The weather was downright HOT but the show had to go on. We ate a fabulous buffet, played games, opened gifts and had a really rich cake for dessert. A big thank you to all who helped! First, Nancy and Tim for providing their home and the delicious food. Nancy's sisters, April and Betty, for the beautiful arrangement of food and flowers. Rebecca McKenzie for making cute little party favors and the "Famous Spouse" game and prize. Tiffany, for a fun Bridal Candy Game complete with fabulous chocolate candy bars of ALL kinds. And Melody, for taking on the Bouquet Game and her scented Bath & Body Gift. Without each of you contributing, it would not have been as easy and fun. So THANK YOU! That being said, I want to tell you just how happy I am to have Kristen as a daughter-in-law. She is everything and more that I could have wanted for my son and for my family. She's beauti
